Book: The boy who hated insects
With children’s increased use of technology screens, their book reading seems to have dropped off slightly or significantly. Author Margaret Attwood says: ‘I read for pleasure and that is the moment I learn the most.’
Perhaps it would be helpful for parents to prioritise reading for their offspring, by reading to them or reading themselves as role models.
Whatever their future chosen profession, reading is important in developing the flow of language, comprehension skills and for entertainment.
