This vibrant intimate theatre production tells the oral history of the development of Hermanus. Energetic song, dance and compelling storytelling takes the audience on a historical journey of discovery, highlighting pioneers like Hermanus Pieters, Sir William Hoy and the mystical character of Bientang. Listen to tales of local fishermen, everyday lives of women and landmark buildings such as the Marine Hotel and the Sanatorium – today the Windsor Hotel. Some liberties have been taken and a pinch of proudly South African spice added. This is a thoroughly local-is-lekker production.
