Become a Patron of FynArts
for the LOVE of the Arts
We invite you to become an annual FynArts Patron for 2025.
Since its first festival launch in 2013, the Hermanus FynArts Festival has developed
and sustained a top quality, innovative arts event that has taken its place on the arts
calendar of the Western Cape.
The FynArts Festival is packaged as a traditional festival (performances, exhibitions
and films) and a winter school (Strauss & Co Series of Presentations and Interviews), workshops, culinary demonstrations, book discussions and current affairs, food and wine tutored tastings.
The above format has made it possible to develop a range of ongoing projects with
the main objective of promoting the arts in underserved communities through
education and skills development, as well as to provide opportunities for practising
and aspiring creatives across a range of disciplines to showcase their art.
Hermanus FynArts is therefore registered as both a Non- Profit Organisation (174 –
582 NPO) as well as a Public Benefit Organisation (930070839 PBO). This
registration entitles us to issue an 18A Certificate for all contributions stipulated for
use through the FynArts Development Fund which is the sole beneficiary of the
festival.
A further development of Hermanus FynArts is the opening of the FynArts Gallery
which doubles as a self-sustaining FynArts management office.
We are deeply grateful for the generous support of many individuals who have, in
large part, made this growth and development possible over the past twelve years –
including through the three potentially devastating years of the pandemic.
By becoming a Patron of FynArts, you will not only contribute to the arts and artists,
you will also strengthen the cause of Hermanus as an arts destination. But equally
importantly, you will support the promotion, development and education of the arts in Zwelihle, Mount Pleasant and Hawston.
