Ceramicist

Antoinette is originally from Pretoria but have been living in Cape Town for the past fifteen years. After a career in textile design, she now dedicates her time to ceramics and walking.

Her vessels are mostly hand-built. In glazing she aims for surprise and visual texture. Antoinette likes to believe that her ceramics reflect her African environment, her interest in ancient artifacts, her love of drawing and her concern for the plants, birds and animals whose misfortune it is to share this planet with humans.
