My intention with AARDS is to introduce you to my world, where life lived in our immense natural beauty informs my creative expression on an intuitive level. Over the 31years of my fulltime clay studio work, my understanding of the connection of self to nature and spirit has grown, bringing equilibrium into my life.
The 31 year clay life brings with it fluidity that comes from repetition. This expresses in unstrained ease of the hand-making process, with work on an instinctual level. This is part of what you experience when picking up one of Corinne’s pieces. You can feel the spirit and consciousness of the maker is fused with the clay. The generous beauty makes for a visual and tactile experience that ensured the tableware in her gallery stays ahead of the trend, mastering the art of handmade ceramics for use.
