After completing her schooling there she left to study in South Africa where she received a BA Degree in Art Education at Stellenbosch University. After graduating in 1979, she taught art for a while and then ventured into the freelance world. For the next few decades she was based in Cape Town and had a wonderfully diverse and creative career in Trompe-l’oeil mural painting, faux finishes, interior design, book writing, manufacturing, but never full time painting.
A lot of her more recent work is in the commercial world. She work closely with Interior designers, producing bespoke ‘Wall Art’ for large projects such as hotels, game lodges, corporate head offices and occasionally for retail outlets.
