Over the years Mark has conducted research and written hundreds of articles in both academic and popular media about issues ranging from HIV to anti-corruption, education and the environment, as well as his own experiences and learnings from decades of activism. He has been on the frontlines of these struggles to fulfil everyone’s rights to dignity, equality and human rights. He is the co-founder and editor of Maverick Citizen and author of a memoir, Get Up! Stand Up! Personal Journeys towards Social Justice, published in 2017.
