Zelda Weber was born in Durban, South Africa in 1974. She has a diploma in Ceramic Design but in 2005 under the mentorship of Eunice Geustyn she established herself as a printmaker, concentrating on etchings. She has been part of several group exhibitions as well as a solo exhibition at the AVA in Cape Town.
As an artist, Zelda is very concerned with human nature. The Concise Oxford Dictionary (7th Edition) describes Humanism as a “devotion to human interests”. Her themes explore the lack of conscientiousness amongst humans as well as the beauty and joy you find amongst them.
