As a film director Anton travels the world, capturing incredible stories. He has directed and produced content in over 25 countries and his original work has been broadcast by National Geographic, Discovery, Animal Planet, BBC, Al Jazeera, ITV, SABC, ABC, ZDF, Amazon Prime and the WaterBear Network.
Together with producer Jasmine Duthie, the filmmaking duo founded the Hermanus-based production company Rockpool Media. Their stories of travel, wildlife and sustainability range from feature documentaries, to television series, short films and commercials. Whale Wash (2023) uncovered the secrets behind modern Norwegian whaling. Following a positive storyline, Shark Town (2024) will highlight Gansbaai’s relationship with shark ecotourism.
Teaming up with Penguin Random House author, Richard Peirce, the trio produced Lions, Bones & Bullets. After its Monaco premiere, the film scooped the award for Best Educational Feature and was the runner-up to Sir David Attenborough for Best Presenter-Led Feature at the nature equivalent to the Oscars®, the 2021 Jackson Wild Media Awards.
