Beverley Roos-Muller

Journalist

Dr Beverley Roos-Muller is a veteran journalist and broadcaster, and former academic lecturing in humanities at the University of Cape Town. She was an anti-apartheid activist in the 1980s, including as spokesperson for the multi-organisational Open City campaign opposing the Group Areas Act.

She is the co-author and editor, with her late husband, Prof Ampie Muller, of Vuur in sy Vingers about his father-in-law, the poet NP Van Wyk Louw. Her next book, Hunting the Seven, that exposes the true story behind the assassinations of the Gugulethu Seven in 1986, is to be published by Jonathan Ball Publishers in May 2024.

Beverley lives in Cape Town and continues to contribute regular book reviews/interviews for Fine Music Radio and for print media, as she has been doing for the past 40-plus years.
