Emmanuel Bach

Violinist

Emmanuel won the Royal Over-Seas League Strings Competition and has performed at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields and St James Piccadilly. Maxim Vengerov described his playing of the Brahms Concerto as ‘a superb rendition … a very deep and emotional performance’.

A former Countess of Munster Trust Artist, Emmanuel regularly gives recitals and performs concertos across the UK. He has performed as a co-soloist with Anne-Sophie Mutter in JS Bach’s Double Concerto and performed live and in broadcasts on BBC Radio 3. As a soloist, Emmanuel has performed concerti with conductors that include David Hill MBE, Jonathan Willcocks, Maxim Vengerov, Ken Woods, Eric Rycroft, Darrell Davison, Stefan Hofkes and others. As a chamber musician he has performed at Norfolk Festival (USA), CreArt Box (Spain), IMUSE (Belgium), Johannesburg International Mozart Festival (South Africa) and Beaminster Festival (UK).

Reconnecting with his roots, he has toured South Africa multiple times. Emmanuel read Music at Magdalen College, Oxford, gaining a Double First. He received a Master’s and Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music, studying with Natasha Boyarsky and Radu Blidar. He also studied with Dr Felix Andrievsky. Emmanuel’s recent CD ‘Lennox in Paris’ was described by Pizzicato as ‘an intense journey through time’.
