Louna Stofberg obtained the degrees BMus Ed and BMus Hons from Stellenbosch University and was a member of the University Choir of Stellenbosch and the Libertas choir. She attained the Higher Licentiate in Piano (cum laude) at Stellenbosch University, the Unisa Teachers Licentiate in Piano as well as the Fellowship of the Trinity College of London (organ). She was organist at the Paarlberg Dutch Reformed Church for 20 years and music teacher at Paarl Girls’ High School where she taught piano, organ and singing, as well as the school choir for 23 years. She has been a Unisa examiner since 2007 and adjudicator at eisteddfodau.
Southern African Church Organist Association (SAKOV) bursaries were granted to Louna in 2014 and 2015 (for church organist), whilst she won the SAKOV MMus bursary in 2016. In 2017 she obtained the MMus Performance (Organ) degree cum laude under the guidance of Dr Mario Nell at Stellenbosch University. She is the organist of the Dutch Reformed Church in Hermanus and has often performed at the Woordfees in Stellenbosch, the FynArts Festival in Hermanus, and the Feather Market hall in Gqeberha. She has been the conductor of the Hermanus Pro Musica choir since the beginning of 2023.
