Micca is based in Thembisa and is one of the most celebrated percussionists both locally and internationally. He started working in the Performing Arts sphere in 2002 with the Township Mirror Theatre Group under Steve Thapelo Khunou, and has taken part in many productions under the abovementioned organisation. He worked with Nhlanhla Mahlangu in 2007 as part of the Hlabelela Ensembles, and worked with him and the award-winning choreographer Sonia Radebe in a production titled Sabela, staged at National Arts Festival.
In October 2019 he joined The Centre of the Less Good Idea and performed Untshini Wena (his first solo), Vuka Kleva, and Wall of Tools, curated by Sello Pesa and Thireshen Govender. His most recent activities include touring the UK and USA as part of the theatre play House Boy, directed by William Kentridge.
