Pieter-Adriaan Stofberg graduated BMus in Performance at the University of Cape Town under Marian Lewin in 2013. He passed his Unisa Grade 8 exam with distinction in 2011 and was invited to perform at the prize winners’ concert in Pretoria. In 2012 and 2013, he received the Stephanie Garnett Memorial prize from the South African College of Music (UCT). In June 2014 he passed the Licentiate of the Trinity College of London and finished his Post-Graduate Certificate in Education. He received his MMus degree at Stellenbosch University under Dr Anzél Gerber in 2017.
Pieter-Adriaan teaches cello and serves as an ad hoc member to several orchestras in and around Cape Town. He also performs regularly as part of a chamber music group or solo musician.
