Tertius van Dyk

Tertius is a surrealist artist who was born in the Overberg. He uses mixed medium in his art but works mostly in acrylic on large canvas format. An avid lover of trees, rocks and the African landscape, his imagination puts outwardly mismatched concepts and objects together to create evocative surrealistic scenes. His work is also inspired by the ocean and often depicts whales from his home town of Hermanus, as well as sharks and shipwrecks.
