Thea-Mei first discovered her passion amidst the vibrant tapestry of nature on her childhood farm. Her path blossomed as she pursued a teaching degree with a focus on art, a testament to her deep-seated belief in the power of creativity and education. Yet, it wasn’t just any art that captured her heart – it was the art of arranging flowers into breathtaking installations, each a riot of colour and an expression of her boundless imagination.
Her quest for mastery took her to the studios of Europe’s master florists. Under the tutelage of icons like Gregor Lersch, her floral hero, and others including Brigitte Hendriks, Francois Weeks, Geert Pattyn, and Thomas de Bruyne, Thea-Mei honed her skills, each lesson adding a new hue to her palette of techniques which she now shares with her students, each of whom is in turn a mirror reflecting new angles of creativity.
In her world, flowers are not merely decorations but messengers of a deeper connection to the world around us, a connection she nurtures and shares with every bloom she places.
