British author Richard Peirce hunts for the truth in this award-winning feature documentary and uncovers a shocking lion processing industry that is threatening the survival of the king of the beasts.
On his mission to discover how lions became cows, Richard leads the dramatic adventure from lion farms in South Africa, to wildlife traffickers in Laos and Vietnam. The film was written, directed and produced by South African and New Zealand duo, Anton Leach and Jasmine Duthie, who have made Hermanus their home.
